I’m steadily narrowing things down in the cabinet… I’m thinking that the 3 characters will be The Curator, The Keeper and the Keeper’s Assistant… and I am thinking that the world of the cabinet will be an ark as in “Tradescant’s  Ark” but actually an endless wooden boat lined with shelve and cabinets, maybe the curiosities are swept out of the ocean as flotsam that would explain all the sea creatures in bottles…
